In collaboration with Profs. Paul Braun, Jessica Krogstad, Nicola Perry, Daniel Shoemaker, Ben Zahiri (MatSE), and  Elif Ertekin (MechSE), we are studying the thermal science of Li battery materials with an emphasis on solid-state electrolytes, Li metal anodes, and dense, electroplated cathodes.  Our work leverages the extensive facilities for materials analysis in the Materials Research Laboratory; and more specialized facilities for optical metrology, electrochemistry, materials synthesis, and mechanical property measurements in the research groups of the PIs.
